THE SILKY WEAVE

I wove this wrap on white cottolin warp, with white mercerized cotton weft.  Here is the woven wrap, before its first wash:

Then hand-painting:

Another washing and drying cycle, and shibori comes into play.  After folding, the fabric is pressed between wooden blocks.

And then the dye bath, then another wash and another drying cycle.  And finally, pictures.
